THE MUSIC LIVES ON
In the fall of 1967, Gordon Lightfoot came to the University of Guelph, and tickets sold faster than looking at one’s marks on posted midterms. The concert was dynamite, and the big gym packed and silent with absolute respect, soaking up every note reaching out to each one individually as a whole, heartfelt, caring, with empathy in every note. It seemed, as the concert ended, there was so much solitude and quiet in reflection, both within and without.
Gordon Lightfoot will be missed as his music will live on forever, generation after generation. From our newsroom to your inbox at noon, the latest headlines, stories, opinion and photos from the Toronto Sun.By clicking on the sign up button you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.
