Globally, 130 million girls between the ages of 16 and 17 are still out of school. Canada’s international aid, committed before the pandemic, has run its course. To reignite, what is needed is a commitment to increase our overall international assistance envelope to $10 billion by 2026, and within that to increase the proportion going to education to more than 10%.
