A long, long time ago, I cheated on a wonderful young lady. I was stupid and immature. I apologized from the bottom of my heart because I knew I betrayed her trust. She accepted my apology, but ended the relationship anyway. Pointedly, she said I couldn’t be trusted anymore. Now we have Coun. Gian-Carlo Carra staging an apology before council, asking for forgiveness because he didn’t disclose his financial interest in a property.
Why are we all surprised by the crises in our health-care system? Urgent-care centres are shutting down on weekends, surgical wait times are horrendous, ambulance availability time is getting longer and longer, the list goes on and on. This has all been predictable for many years because no one in government has had the gonads to make changes to our broken health-care system.
