The organiser of the John Crane Marathon, Benoni Harriers, is urging the community to enter the 41st edition of the race on January 28 at Willowmoore Park.
The entries are open and the club is expecting a full field of runners, most of whom will be looking to qualify for the Comrades Marathon and Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon.Tonny Skink won the men's marathon and legendary runner Charnè Bosman won the women’s marathon. Lucky Mohale won his sixth Johnson Crane Half-Marathon. Mapaseka Makhanya won the women’s 21.1km.The entry fee for the marathon is R295, R255 for the half-marathon and R135 for the 10km.
The 42.2km and 21.1km races will start at 05:30 while the gun will go off at 05:45 for the 10km and 5km events.Also Read: Bosman and Mohale make history at Johnson Crane Marathon
