The L.M. Montgomery Bookshelf: Highlighting a Favorite Writer's Favorite Reading is a project that will be both digital and physical, thanks to a donation from Montgomery expert and LMMI research associate Donna Campbell. The project will highlight books that bear Montgomery’s handwriting or ownership, such as her signature or a personal note to someone she gifted with a book.Authors who may be added in the future include Sir Walter Scott, Charles Dickens, Alfred Tennyson, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, and Agatha Christie.“We know L.M. Montgomery as an author, and now we have the opportunity to learn about the writer as a reader and lover of books,” said Philip Smith, chair of the LMMI.
