Wernich Botha, who allegedly brutally assaulted two men in a parking area at a shopping centre in Klerksdorp, North West, has been released on R2 000 bail.

Botha, 33, appeared in the town’s Magistrate's Court on charges of attempted murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm on Thursday. Botha's arrest comes after the vicious attack on two men – a 32-year-old and a 44-year-old – was caught on camera at a shopping centre in Doringkruin, Klerksdorp, on Sunday.
Myburgh has since urged the public not to spread the video footage as it could hamper the investigation.
