we spotted two different conversion examples, with before and after shots showing the extent of modifications. The white model – a facelifted first-gen Fortuner – received the most work, making it hardly recognizable from all angles other than the profile.
The redesigned front end sports a Lexus spindle grille, faux intakes, a sporty skirt, a new pair of headlights, and a wider bonnet scoop. The profile remains unchanged with the exception of the fresh pearl white paint and the new set of alloy wheels finished in gunmetal grey. As for the tail, it has been upgraded with LED taillights, a roof spoiler, a thicker chrome strip, and a sporty bumper.
Inside, the seats have been reupholstered in white leather and a modern pattern. The steering wheel is replaced by a new one from the. Predictably, the infotainment is upgraded with a larger touchscreen featuring sharper graphics and the latest Android software, while integrating a 360-degree camera. Two additional screens for the rear passengers are mounted behind the front headrests.
We don’t know the total cost of the modifications, but a decade-old Toyota Fortuner can be had for fairly cheap in most countries where it’s available. You can watch what it takes to complete the metamorphosis in the two videos below.
