Onlookers said children were crying and shop staff rushed to help
AN EMERGENCY response was called to a busy shopping area after a fight broke out over Easter weekend.
It is claimed a man was seen 'covered in blood' after an attack in the Main Street area of Rutherglen on Saturday afternoon.A witness told the"Was terrible with kids crying and staff from shops running out to help." Another said:"Hopefully they have caught the ones responsible, not what you want to see when out shopping, kids don't need to see that."An investigation has been launched.spokesperson said:"Around 2.30pm on Saturday, April 8, 2023, we were called to a report of a serious assault in the Main Street area of Rutherglen."A second man, 32, was also injured in the incident and did not require hospital treatment.
