Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips has already claimed there is "no reason" to leave unless his game time doesn't change, despite links with Liverpool.

This summer, Jurgen Klopp has welcomed Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and more recently, Wataru Endo as part of their midfield restructure. Chelsea new boys Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia were also on the Anfield radar but the Londoners won the race to their signature - splashing a combined £173m on the midfield pairing.

Phillips has been an unused substitute in each of City's first four competitive games this season. Pep Guardiola opted not to make a single change during Saturday evening's 1-0 win over Newcastle United.
