A young Kaizer Chiefs defender, Sfiso Timba, has been invited to trial with Belgian club Molenbeek. His agent believes this is a great opportunity for Timba to grow as a player and potentially make a move to Europe.
Kaizer Chiefs have been nurturing talent for years now, and this young defender appears ready to take on the world. This was confirmed by Timba’s agent Steve Kapeluschnik, who admitted this is a massive opportunity for the Chiefs youngster. Timba, who plays as a right-back, has been in top form for the Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team. According to reports, the 19-year-old was on the verge of being handed a first team contract by the Glamour Boys.
Kapeluschnik said Timba flew to Belgium on Thursday night to join Molenbeek in Turkey for their mid-season preparations. With the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to be staged in Cote d’Ivoire in April, the agent feels this trial will help Timba grow as a player. Furthermore, Kapeluschnik feels the Chiefs youngster is ready to ply his trade in Europe despite only playing in the DDC.“This is a great opportunity for Sfiso. He flew out on Thursday night to join the team in Turkey, where they are camping for their mid-season preparations,” Kapeluschnik told “This kid has massive potential and will be a future star. He has been invited to be assessed by the club, who are in the second division in Belgium and we will take it from there.” “We expect this to be a big year for him, especially with the AFCON coming up in April. I believe Sfiso is ready for Europe,” added Kapelischnik
