Kaizer Chiefs have revealed the squad numbers of six of the club's new signings, including who will wear the famous No. 9 jersey.
The Amakhosi have bolstered their squad with the addition of no fewer than seven signings ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, with six of those now handed new squad numbers. Zitha Kwinika, an academy graduate, was among the first to arrive after being signed from Stellenbosch FC and will wear the No. 4 jersey previously worn by Daniel Cardoso.
The No. 5 jersey now belongs to Kamohelo Mahlatsi who was acquired from Swallows FC while Bafana Bafana international Siyethemba Sithebe will don the No. 6 on his back after his move from AmaZulu. Another set of new faces from Swallows includes Dillon Solomons who has been handed the No. 18 strip, and Lehlogonolo Matlou, who takes the No. 22 jersey, while former Sekhukhune United star Yusuf Maart is expected to get the No. 8.marquee signing Ashley Du Preez, who arrived in a high-profile transfer from Stellenbosch FC last month.
