KNIGHT TIME: 67's lose to London in shootout
“The game was the way we knew it was going to be,” said 67’s coach Dave Cameron. “It was the same way last time in London, it was the same way last Sunday in Owen Sound. No time, no space, it’s just a matter of finding a way to get pucks and bodies to the net and finding a way to score.Article content
“We have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable,” said 67’s defenceman Jack Matier. “That’s a team that makes you uncomfortable on the ice, they’re really fast. It was just two really good teams going at it. We’re both good defensively and we both have really good goalies so chances were limited and there wasn’t much ice out there. These types of games always come down to a couple of plays.”It was the kind of game teams expect when they line up against the Dale Hunter-coached Knights.
The 67’s got some firepower back into their lineup Logan Morrison, who was injured two weeks ago, and Vinzenz Rohrer, who had been stretchered off after banging his head on the ice during a game 2 1/2 weeks earlier, both returned. London got a goal 5:30 into the game, when Alex Leonard, off a faceoff, rifled a wrist shot past 67’s goalie Max Donoso.
