Jomo Sono on Pitso Mosimane: I was just about to strangle him
Former Orlando Pirates star Jomo Sono shared a story about a time when he"was just about to strangle" former teammate Pitso Mosimane. Sono recalled a game against Kaizer Chiefs when he played with the former Al Ahly manager, and revealed how a"pompous" Mosimane did not listen to the former New York Cosmos. Speaking the Bettor Podcast, Sono shared how the former Abha Club coach's stubbornness resulted in a moment of brilliance. "Arrogant, pompous, you know.
"And then we played, and we played. Chiefs equalised with about five minutes to go. got another dead ball just outside the box. And I said to the players: go and wait for me in the centre. "He stood there. So when I turned my head, he just blasted. He took a shot. Straight top corner. I was just about to strangle him, but the ball was in the net; what do we do?
