The Super Eagles of Nigeria are without a coach and might bring in Pitso Mosimane. Jingles has had calls from two West African countries,
It was reported a few months ago that the Nigerian Football Federation were keen on bringing Jingles as their head coach. Mosimane has been without a club since leaving the Saudi club Abha in May. The 60-year-old coach was linked with a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs but instead, the job went to Nasreddine Nabi.
“So maybe with the national team, I must say that interests me more . And also national team, doesn’t mean anyone. A National team that you think you can go to the semi-final.“And when you go to the semi-final, go to the final and when you’re in the final, you might as well win it,” said the former Al Ahly coach.
“We had calls with even West African countries, two! And ones I said, ‘yeah, these are the ones’. But things are done differently in those spaces,” he continued.for the Nigeria job earlier this year. Jingles said the interest was there but nothing concrete was put on the table by the NFF. “There are always clashes somewhere there, the ministry because they pay for the coach, they want this coach, the football federation want that coach. Hopefully, we’ll get one that goes together,” Mosimane said.
