Jim Magilton insists there was "no desperation" from Cliftonville following the departures of strike trio Ronan Hale, Ben Wilson and Sam Ashford during the summer.

"Developing those young players is what we're all about. Gerard and I have talked about it. New signings have to improve us, if not then we are prepared to work with and give these young players a chance to come in.
