Jim Magilton has hailed the influence of Joe Gormley at Cliftonville
Jim Magilton believes Joe Gormley's influence stretches way beyond his capacity to score goals and win football matches.
And he has seen first-hand the influence Gormley holds in the changing room and among young players at the club."And he has been so good with the younger lads like Ryan Corrigan, young Ryan Markey who has come in. Joe will have a huge influence on him. "You have watched and seen Joe Gormley for as long as I have. The one thing he does in this league is guarantee you goals. And that's irrelevant of age," Magilton said.
Magilton believes Gormley's "emotional connection" with Cliftonville is another huge positive for both parties. "It is only when you work with Joe, do you respect and understand him even more. I see Joe play and train and work. His awareness of where the goal is, his coolness and technique in front of goal, you can't coach that. There are very few people who have that.
