Scotland beating Ireland by more than 21 points margin would surely raise some eyebrows but the Springboks will have to pack their bags.
Springboks fans are worried Ireland and Scotland could collude to knock South Africa out of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.The Irish need just a win to top the pool while Scotland needs to win by 21+ points to reach the quarter-finals. By winning by that margin, it will ultimately knock the Springboks out of the tournament.
Realistically, the Irish should be too strong for the Scots but many Boks fans are worried that the two teams might resort to match-fixing.Boks are favourites and most teams would rather see them out of the Rugby World Cup than play them in the knock-out round. If Scotland and Ireland dare try match fixing, we'll absolutely send the EFF to shutdown that tournament.
“I think between ourselves, Ireland and Scotland, everybody can still miss out on the quarter-finals, every single team, all three of those teams, but all three can also still make it so the pool will only be decided on Saturday,”“Could I believe in a scenario that they will decide ‘do we want to get this amount of points and then get South Africa out of the way?’ That would probably be match-fixing, I would say. I hope not.
“Rugby is clean. We wear those t-shirts so hopefully not because that would be extremely disappointing.”
