A reputable Investment Firm is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Analyst for a 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract. The successful candidate will provide optimal and seamless 1st and 2nd Line Support, ensuring operational stability and increasing efficiency for Business Users, IT Domains, and Developers.
Responsibilities include analyzing and implementing fixes and enhancements, Release Management of scripts and code, ensuring changes are tested and approved, and driving the automation of IT processes. Candidates must hold a Degree/Tech course in IT/Commerce, Sciences or Engineering with 3+ years of work experience in a similar role. Experience with DR Checks, Batch Management, Auditing Reports, Scripting (SQL, C#, JavaScript, Bash or PowerShell), and solid Infrastructure/Server Management knowledge are essential. The role involves troubleshooting and investigating issues raised by the business and the rest of IT, across Production and Development Environments, encompassing in-house and vendor-developed applications. The successful candidate will also drive automation of IT processes, support domains with technical setup and configuration of new system implementations, and implement access requests while ensuring due process is followed, especially regarding auditing requirements. Application and Database Performance Monitoring, Investigation, and Tuning, as well as Business Continuity Planning and Testing, are also key responsibilities. The candidate will work closely with the rest of IT to continuously drive stability, architecture, process, and performance improvements. Desired skills include comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and MS Office; understanding of Networking and IT Security; ability to work shifts on a rotational basis; working knowledge of Azure and AWS; a working knowledge of scripting languages; strong logical thinking and deductive reasoning; and a passion for IT and technology in general
