DRIVEN | Hyundai's refreshed Grand i10 hatchback, new sedan still finds favour with SA buyers
One of South Africa's most popular little city cars has a fresh new look, some interior tweaks, and a new sedan model to boot. The Grand i10's looks even better than before, and feels bigger thanks to clever styling, but it's also still a little gem behind the wheel, writes News24 Motoring editor Remember the little Spark? The cute little city car from Chevrolet - you still find them driving around today on SA roads.
"Designers have given the Grand i10 an attractive mid-life makeover while retaining the well-rounded package that this model has become known for," said Stanley Anderson, sales, operations and commercial vehicles director of Hyundai Automotive South Africa. There are new 15-inch alloy wheels for the Fluid derivatives, and new 14-inch styled wheel covers for the Motion models.
The Fluid and Motion models have an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment centre that can connect with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto systems, and a manual air conditioner. Another handy highlight, relatively uncommon in competitor cars, is a centre console for the rear passengers with air vents and a USB charging port.Even though the power figures on paper might look dismal, it's still a nippy get-around that will take you from A to B in a hoot.
