HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, especially the Pro models, introduces an enhanced Golf Mode featuring improved GPS accuracy thanks to the Sunflower Positioning System. With maps of over 15,000 global golf courses, including a growing database for South Africa, users can navigate courses with ease. The mode offers detailed 3D views, pinpoints hazards, and provides pre-tee-off tips on club selection, aiming direction, and power. It also enables scorekeeping and swing data analysis, enhancing the golfing experience for players of all levels.
For a number of years now, HUAWEI has sought to differentiate its wearables from others by adding support for specific sports. One of the longest supporting among these is golf, with a dedicated Golf Mode even being introduced of late.
The Golf Mode on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series makes use of improved GPS accuracy thanks to the new Sunflower Positioning System, which picks up the wearer’s location on a map and instantly recognises if they’re about to step onto a golf course. With it estimated that close to 490 golf courses exist and are in operation in South Africa, it won’t be long before you step onto any course in the country and the Golf Mode on the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series is ready to go.
Simply knowing where obstacles are is not enough though, as the advanced Golf Mode also offers up tips before teeing off, such as club selection, direction to aim, and how much power to put behind a shot.Added to this the ability to keep a scorecard while playing, as well as being able to capture and analyse your swing data, you don’t even need to hire a coach at the county club in order to keep improving your game.
