In this week's africast we discuss Microsoft's win against the FTC and how it clears the way for its Activision Blizzard deal.
The africast returns this week despite the serious drop in temperature for everyone in Johannesburg. While we could have spent the entire episode, we are instead focusing our attention on the ongoing Microsoft saga and its bid to acquire Activision Blizzard, which could be the biggest deal in gaming history.
We start with NSFAS, as it is being sued alongside one of its partners Tenet Technologies by the Tertiary Education and Research Network of South Africa, which also goes by the name of Tenet. Lastly for news is EA Sports, which is readying to release its first football game sans the backing of FIFA. The lead up has been a little rough, with fans of the franchise roasting a cover for EA Sports FC 24 that surfaced online this week.
