ICYMI: HSAA, AHS reach four-year bargaining deal with 4.25 per cent wage increases
AHS said in a news release Thursday the deal comes on the back of mediator recommendations and will see “modest increases” for more than 21,000 workers across the province.
“We extend our thanks to HSAA staff and the health-care teams they work with for their exceptional work and dedication to serving Albertans,” said Chies. The union said in a statement earlier this week — where they announced a tentative agreement — the deal will see 4.25 per cent increases over the next four years, including a one per cent increase retroactive to last October.
HSAA said it felt there was heavy government interference at the bargaining table but said it was able to achieve a number of important gains. The deal received 85 per cent approval rating from HSAA members.
