Heavy rains caused severe flooding at the General De La Rey Hospital in the North West Province of South Africa, forcing the transfer of 33 patients to other facilities. Health Minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi visited the hospital to assess the damage, noting that the hospital's aging drainage system failed to handle the heavy rainfall.
