Here’s a rundown of what will be opened and closed in Toronto and the GTA for Canada Day this year.
Torontonians will enjoy the first public holiday of the summer, with a list of activities ranging from concerts, to public celebrations and parades on July 1.Mailing
Canada Post is closed on July 3, the Monday after the national holiday. Mail collection and delivery will return on July 4. Selected offices operated by the private section will open according to their business hours. UPS delivery services will not operate on July 1 and on July 3 nationwide.The Beer Store will be open on Canada Day on a store-by-store basis, with some locations being closed on Saturday. LCBO dispensaries will not open on July 1.on July 3. Service will begin at 6 a.m.
GO bus and train services will run on a Saturday schedule for July 1 and 3 this year. Some GO transit routes don’t offer weekend service.Grocery storesCheck with your local grocer to confirm holiday hours.The Eaton Centre will also be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.The Toronto Premium Outlets will remain open on Canada Day from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.Vaughan Mills will also remain open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.Canada’s Wonderland will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will include fireworks.
