There have been 112 deaths associated with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

THUNDER BAY -- The district has recorded two more deaths associated with COVID-19, bringing the cumulative total to 112.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Thursday announced the two new deaths in its weekly COVID-19 report to the community, noting their were 204 confirmed cases of the virus in the previous week. That's 54 fewer than the week prior, but health unit officials have said that since January case counts are not accurate due to the limitation of molecular testing, which is reserved for the province's most vulnerable.
