In the latest COVID update, the BCCDC says 33 people died between Aug. 14 and 20, 12 of who were in Island Health.

On Aug. 25 there were 331 people in the hospital, with 29 in critical care. In Island Health there are 47 people in hospital, three in critical care.CHEK NewsletterSign UpEach week the number of deaths are conditional and subject to change as data is updated.

The province previously reported 24 deaths between Aug. 7 and 13, and have updated that number to 43.
