Brown trains in Florida following ‘Death Tour’ through northern Canada
Cogmagun native Cody Brown, a.k.a. Lil’ Blay, cerebrates in the ring with his dad Adam Brown and mom Torra Brown following his victory over Kato in a tables match, the main event of the first Wrestling in Windsor event at the Hants County exhibition grounds last August. FILE PHOTOWINDSOR, N.S. — A Hants County pro wrestler working to break into the big time is coming home to rally the support of his hometown fans.
He said he’s been “learning all kinds of nifty new tricks,” training with major talents such as Jay Lethal, Serena Deeb, and Sarah Stock. Brown said they are among “the best of the best.” Brown said some shows were cancelled if there was a recent death in the community. He said COVID-19 was also responsible for some event cancellations. Some of the wrestlers tested positive and weren’t allowed into certain communities and venues.
The Cogmagun native hopes to serve as an example to young people in Hants County that if you’re willing to put in the work, make sacrifices, and stick with it, you can accomplish whatever goals you put your mind to. Brown said he was pleasantly surprised by the success of the first Wrestling in Windsor event held last August, and he hopes to make it a recurring attraction.
Brown told him that if he was serious, he should come to practice. Rogue showed up for his first training session the next day. Brown said Rogue displayed a lot of natural talent and picked up new skills very quickly.
