The surgery is contesting the inadequate inspection rating

A hair transplant surgery in Manchester city centre has been slammed by inspectors after dirty mops and mould were found at its Deansgate clinic. The Hair Growth Centre at Speakers House in Deansgate has been rated inadequate following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission .

Medicines were not managed well, the report found, nor was patient consent.

The unannounced inspection was carried out by two CQC inspectors on May 31, but the report was not published by the national regulator until August 18. Since then, another inspection looking at the safety and effectiveness of services was carried out by three inspectors, but they did not give a rating.According to a report from the inspection published on September 9, not all areas in the clinic were clean and the surgical records were not complete.
