Greater Manchester's most expensive areas where house prices are plummeting fast
The property market can be uncertain, especially when it comes to house prices. Earlier this year, the Office for Budget Responsibility predicted that property prices will fall by 10 percent over the next two years, but up until now, they have continued to rise in most areas.
Here we look at the six areas of Greater Manchester where HM Land Registry figures show that house prices have dropped drastically between May and July - with one area where prices have plummeted by almost £70,000.This may be not so good news for house sellers, but great news for first-time buyers who may be able to bag a property in a desirable area for a much cheaper price.
Although it remains at the top today, house prices have now started to come down. The average house price in the suburb is £841,384 as of July, which has fallen by £44,135 from £885,519 back in May.The average house price here in May was £385,171 but this has now dropped by £23,515 down to £361,656.Worsley Worsley, which is one of Salford's priciest areas to buy a home, has also seen property prices take a tumble.
