A teenager is in a serious condition in hospital after an alleged murder bid in Glasgow
Emergency crews were called to Stockwell Street in the city centre at 9.30pm on Friday, August 4 in response to a report of an alleged serious assault. Medics attended and a 16-year-old boy was found seriously injured.
He was raced to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where staff describe his condition as serious. Police say a 41-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder. The suspect is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 7. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30pm on Friday, 4 August, police were called to a report of a 16-year-old male youth seriously assaulted in Stockwell Street, Glasgow. Officers attended and he was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where hospital staff describe his condition as serious.
