North West Air Ambulance and police were called to the scene
on Sunday afternoon . The incident happened on Formby beach and officers confirmed the child had been riding the pony before falling off.
She was 'pulled a short distance' along the beach and suffered minor bruising to her legs. The girl, whose age has not been released, was left in the care of her family and paramedics when police left the area.A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: "We received a report at 3.35pm of a child having fallen from a small pony and being pulled a short distance. She suffered minor bruising to her leg and was left in the care of her family and ambulance staff.
