A lucky shopper won a brand new car in a promotional draw held at a Pick and Pay store in Germiston.

Driekie Pretorius, a resident of Germiston , celebrated a brand new Suzuki S-Presso she won during a draw held at the Pick and Pay Towers on December 21. This event marked the culmination of a promotional campaign that ran since October, featuring weekly draws that engaged customers and supported local charities. Pretorius expressed her excitement about the win, noting that her family hadn't shopped at this particular Pick and Pay for over a decade.

They used to live in Boksburg and frequently shopped here. Now living in Germiston, we returned to this store and decided to enter the draw with our till slip. She attributed her victory to her faith, stating, It was by the grace of the Lord that we won today. Before coming here, we prayed and hoped for this win. Anton Rangousis, the store owner who organized the draw, emphasized the community aspect of the event. We had 12 draws since the first week of October and every week a different charity benefitted from R2 000 donations, Rangousis stated. Rangousis handed Pretorius the car keys, thanking his consumers for their support and announcing several future special activities for customers at the Pick and Pay store
