A restricted free agent this summer, Norris wrapped up the 2021-22 campaign with his 35th goal in a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on April 29. Norris also spent one season with the American Hockey League affiliate in Belleville, where he finished with 31 goals and 30 assists for 61 points in the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 campaign. He’s worked hard to establish himself at the NHL level and is a big part of the Senators’ core group.
The contract includes this breakdown: $5 million n 2022-23, $6.5 million in 2023-24, $9.5 million in 2024-25, $9.5 million in 2025-26, $9.5 million in 2026-27, $8.75 million in 2027-28, $7.85 million in 2028-29 and $7 million in the final year, 2029-30.
