The Colorado Avalanche re-signed veteran winger Darren Helm to a one-year, $1.25-million deal on Wednesday.
Helm had seven goals and eight assists in 68 regular-season games before adding two goals and three assists in 20 playoff games to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup in his first season with the squad.Helm, 35, has 119 goals and 147 assists in 812 career NHL games with the Red Wings and Avalanche.
