Frigid temperatures, snow, and strong gusts are in the forecast for most of the province today.

Environment Canada meteorologist Justin Boudreau says temperatures on the island could reach minus 30 with the wind chill heading into Saturday afternoon. He says any exposure to freezing temperatures without taking proper precautions could result in frostbite in minutes. Around 80 cm of snow is projected for parts of Labrador, with blizzard like conditions already being reported as of Saturday morning.
