A Bafana forward Tau has achieved a milestone in Egypt after becoming the first South African to break new football ground with Al Ahly.

) with Al Ahly in Egypt. Tau, the 2018 PLS Player of the Year, helped Al Ahly reach the AFL semifinal after shrugging off Simba SC on October 24 2023.

Tau parted ways with the English Premier League side due to lack of game-time. He has spent most of his time on loan in Belgium.The South African attacker eventually then linked up at Al Ahly with his former Sundowns mentor Pitso Mosimane.The former Bafana handler is now in charge Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates. Mosimane’s exit has, save for injuries, not affected Tau’s performance.Little wonder, the former PSL star has now achieved the milestone with the Reds.
