Kaizer Chiefs know that a win at home against AmaZulu will bring them one step closer to winning the Carling KO.
Amakhosi are now in their eighth season without a trophy but four wins is all they need to end their drought.Their Carling KO campaign starts on Saturday evening against AmaZulu at the FNB stadium. The two teams have already met this season with Kaizer Chiefs claiming a 3-0 win back in August.
This time the stakes are different, the Glamour Boys have more pressure and this might be their last realistic opportunity to win silverware.“Mudau should be our permanent right back” Pleads Bafana fans “We have seen them play good football since we won 3-0 against them. There has been a lot of improvement on the side of AmaZulu.”With Mamelodi Sundowns dumped out of the CKO, this might be the opportunity for Kaizer Chiefs to capitalise. The Brazilians knocked out Amakhosi in the MTN8 semi-finals last month.
Only SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates can pose a threat for Chiefs but if they avoid these teams until the final, then Ntseki and his troops might have a chance to lift the trophy come December.“When I look back and reflect, they gave us a very tough game. On the day, the plan worked for us, and we managed to get the three goals,” said the Kaizer Chiefs coach.
