Responding to reports that the provincial and territorial ministers rejected a deal offered by Ottawa, Dix said “there was nothing to reject.” Duclos said Monday the federal government will look for “tailor-made” funding agreements with provinces and territories based on the most urgent needs in each jurisdiction.
Also Wednesday, Trudeau expressed frustration with the provinces and territories claiming not to have money for health care while at the same time giving tax breaks or rebate cheques or posting huge surpluses.
