Thanks to a home expert sharing a top tip to remove stains, there is no longer a need to break your back trying to get rid of any tough-to-clean spots.

Gene Fitzgerald, a home water treatment expert at BOS, shared some warnings alongside this about what not to do. So, whether you are dealing rust coloured stains on your taps, in your toilet or around your bath, here is everything you need to know:Fruit People may not know that they don’t need harsh chemicals to clean their bathrooms and remove stains. In a lot of instances, grabbing some fruit from your kitchen may do the trick.

However, if you are experiencing tougher stains you just need to make a paste made from lemon juice and baking soda. Spread this over the area and leave it for an hour and cover it in cling film. Then, wipe away the paste and clean it as normal. This method will also leave your bathroom smelling pretty great too.

Bleach Lastly, if you have some really strong stains, bleach could be used. However, when using this product, make sure to protect any fabrics from being stained.
