A former Orlando Pirates player has finally been given a second chance to revive his career after signing a deal for a PSL side.
Zungu suffered the indignity of becoming the first player to be released by Pirates, even before the previous season ended., by Pirates. The club’s management were hoping that the player could further develop in Durban, while getting much needed game time. He ended up amassing just 12 appearances for Richards Bay, however, in what proved to be a rather ill-fated loan. The player found himself release from the club before time, with disciplinary issues believed to have been a contributing factor.
In the next season, the player found himself getting into off field issues. Zungu was arrested in connection with allegedcharges, but those were dropped soon. He struggled to rekindle his football career at Pirates after that. Not even a loan spell to Richards Bay could help him in that regard. But now according to the latest, the player could be set for another lucky break.“He is now registered and ready to play. The player has been working very hard at training and deserves the opportunity.
