⚠️Time to BeReal.⚠️ USA TODAY asked three current college students about their experience using BeReal – whether they buy its appeal to authenticity, whether they think the app is just a fad and more.

Rishika Vinnakota, a 19-year-old sophomore studying business at the University of Michigan, told USA TODAY sheVinnakota said the app feels like a more authentic way to engage with friends than other social media sites.

“It's a different time every day, and I can just see what people are up to. And there's no filters or any modifications you can make to your picture. It's honestly very ‘be real,’" she said.
