I knew nothing about them until I was reading an article about how to grow garlic. I’m so thankful for that, as I would be missing out on such a delicious offering from the garlic bulb — an offering that only happens once in its growing process. Garlic scapes grow at this time of year and are ready to harvest when you see them growing higher than the leaves and curling up.
