Friday's 38-24 win in Montreal pulled into a tie for third place in the CFL's East Division with Hamilton.

“It was a four-point game,” Redblacks head coach Paul LaPolice said. “We get two and they don’t get two, so it’s like four points. We knew how important the game was.”

The Coleman scoop and score, tying the game 10-10 in the second quarter, was huge. Asked about shifting the momentum in his team’s favour, Coleman said: “That’s the beauty of this game, the momentum. Once the team is moving in the right way, it’s hard to stop us.” “That was all three phases, working together, doing exactly what we need to do to win a football game and to create a momentum-shifting play that really set us up for the rest of the game,” Arbuckle said.

It was also good the Redblacks were able to chew up large chunks of time. A 13-play first-quarter drive lasted more than six minutes, while a 10-play drive near the end of the game took up more than five. Ottawa had a 33:33-to-26:27 edge in time of possession. The Redblacks will look ahead to a Saturday afternoon game against the first-place Toronto Argonauts, who they beat 23-13 a bit more than a month ago.
