As fans prepare for an explosive Super Soak Week, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has teased what lies ahead for our favourite characters over the next few months and beyond
Ahead of an explosive Super Soap Week, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has revealed a sneaky glimpse at what lies in store for our favourite characters over the next few months, with plenty of drama on the horizon for some of the soap’s best loved families.
Laura said: “We’re going to be doing something a little bit special with the Dingles. I think pretty much all the Dingles are going to be involved and the episodes were filmed in a slightly different way to our usual style. True to its form, we’ve played with the format a little bit.” “We’ve got a health story coming up that involves one of our most loved and well known characters,” admitted Laura. “I can’t say at this stage who it is, but it’s definitely going to have a huge impact on their lives and all the people around them and we’ve been working with a really amazing charity who have been guiding us every step of the way.”
“Heading up to Christmas, we’ve got some very exciting plans but I’ve definitely been sworn to secrecy with this one,” admitted Laura There was even talk of some baby news on the horizon, with Billy and Dawn fletcher expecting their first child together “conveniently around Christmas time” however, Laura did confess that it won’t be the only baby news in store either.
