In two weeks’ time, thousands of matriculants will receive their results and many will join the long unemployment queues.
A stagnant economy will not be able to absorb them, and this can give rise to for all sorts of social ills that will be a burden to society. Only a committed functional government will help ease some of these problems.So, as calls increase on Ramaphosa to reshuffle his Cabinet, he needs to take all these factors into account. He might be tempted to use the reshuffle as an opportunity to bring in more of his allies and discard his enemies.
