The Durbanville police are cautioning residents in the area to remain vigilant after several people were mugged on Langeberg Road.Captain Marchell Rhode, Durbanville police spokesperson, says the department is aware of robberies and attacks on those who walk home near Morningstar and Wellway Park. ‘We are monitoring the situation and will put measures in place. We urge people not to walk late at night from the pubs or down the main roads in Morningstar, especially during load shedding.

She added that one of the men was badly beaten, and both were robbed of their cell phones and wallets. The pair had been walking home from a pub in Durbanville when they were attacked and allegedly assaulted on Langeberg Road.
