AM bounced back from their MTN8 quarter-final defeat against Orlando Pirates with a 2-1 victory over Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

The win over Sekhukhune was Thwihli Thwahla's second straight win and moved the side to the summit of the table, two points ahead of second-place AmaZulu. Royal AM's provincial rivals, Richards Bay are also enjying a good start to the season after overcoming back-to-back defeats with a 2-1 win over Stellenbosch on Saturday.

The Natal Rich Boyz moved up to fifth on the table with ten points, just three points behind AM, with a game in hand.
