Every one of us processed a life audit of some kind over the past two years while in lockdown. For those who tragically lost loved ones to the Covid-19 pandemic, the life audit was more acute and pressing. But even those who got through the pandemic relatively unscathed are re-evaluating their values and priorities.
This is a blind spot for corporate companies that are currently obsessed with getting their workforce back into the office and reluctantly toying with different hybrid models. What these companies, and their leadership, are underestimating is the impact of this life audit and how it is fundamentally changing our relationship with work and career trajectories, and how far this steers us all away from what we value most – our families and the one precious life we have to live.
