A driver is charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Florjan Dajti is accused of hitting Sophie Geddes, 16, in Glasgow's Great Western Road on December 5, 2020.
The 32-year-old is said to have been driving at excessive speed and was making a mobile phone call at the time.Prosecutors claim Dajti did not keep a proper lookout of the road ahead and did not notice Sophie, who was crossing at the time.Sophie, of Knightswood, Glasgow, is said to have been hit and thrown to the ground.Sophie is said to have been left so severely injured that she passed away the next day in hospital.The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
