It’s only the third game of the regular season and the Cavs already have a lengthy injury report that will cause them to dig deeper into their retooled roster than anticipated.
Why was Isaac Okoro called for a foul while lying on the ground injured, and what did that play say about the Cavs?Sources tell cleveland.com that star guard Donovan Mitchell will not play in Saturday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers because of hamstring soreness -- an injury that brings Cleveland’s inactive list to a total of five. Darius Garland , Ty Jerome , Jarrett Allen and Ricky Rubio are also out.
Mitchell spoke after Friday’s game about both of his hamstrings cramping up in the final few minutes of Cleveland’s 108-105 loss to Oklahoma City. Despite scoring a game-high 43 points, the star guard said he lacked his usual push and elevation while also struggling to move. There’s some lingering soreness stemming from those cramps.
